overview Dr. Chervoneva has broad background in design and statistical analysis of clinical, translational and basic science studies and more than 20 years of experience in cancer research, in design and statistical analysis of clinical and translational studies. Dr. Chervoneva is a full member of Jefferson’s NCI-designated Kimmel Cancer Center and serves as a Member of the Cancer Biomarkers Study Section (CBSS) and as a Statistical Representative on the NCI’s Symptom Management and Health-related Quality of Life Steering Committee (SxQoL SC). Dr. Chervoneva made contributions to the development of robust methods for linear mixed effects models and density estimation and developed semiparametric mixed effects models for multilevel clustered non-Gaussian data. Dr. Chervoneva’s current research interests focus on statistical methods for discovery and quantification of cancer biomarkers using immunofluorescence-based immunohistochemistry and Next-Generation Sequencing. She develops novel statistical approaches tailored to unmet needs of advanced technologies in biomedical sciences. Dr. Chervoneva’s main collaborations are in clinical oncology, cancer biomarkers, pathology, neurology, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, and pediatrics.
